Is God anti-gay?

March 16, 2018

All Day

Category: Conference | Coordinator: TGC AZ

As a ministry aimed at equipping pastors and their people for gospel-centered ministry, we are happy to announce two events happening on March 16th.

One is for pastors in the morning and the other is for their people in the evening (basically everyone). Both aim at helping Christians think through how to be in the world but not of the world specifically when it comes to understanding homosexuality.

For Pastors and Leaders: 9am-1pm

Difficult questions confront today’s pastor that Augustine and Charles Spurgeon never had to answer, like—"Is God anti-gay?"

The Center for Arizona Policy and Alliance Defending Freedom graciously invited Sam Allberry, author of Is God anti-gay?, to help pastors think through how we can best shepherd our local churches through this question and many others like, "How should we teach on a biblical view of sexuality?" or "How do we counsel members who have felt or do feel same-sex attraction?" These are timely and sensitive questions.

This FREE event for pastors and leaders includes lunch and will be hosted at Trinity Bible Church on Friday, March 16th from 9AM-1PM. Pastors, elders, and leaders are invited.

  • 9a - Sexuality, Identity, and Christianity: Who am I? w/ Sam Allberry
  • 10:45a - Is God Anti-Gay? w/Sam Allberry
  • 11:35a - Panel Q&A
  • 12p - Lunch
  • 1p - Dismiss

---------------------------

For the General Public: 7-8:30pm

Is God anti-gay? This is a provocative question in the cultural waters we swim in every day regardless where you are reading it from, and it is sure to raise all kinds of other questions like: How can I share the gospel with a gay friend? Should we use the term gay-Christian? Can Christians be same-sex attracted? Isn't love more important than gender? etc. Please join us for this special, free, event from 7pm-8:30pm on March 16th at Trinity Bible Church.

We are thrilled to have author and pastor Sam Allberry come and help Christians think through these and other difficult questions.
